You have reached the personal webpage of Simone Beaubien,
New England performance poet, coach, slam host, and producer.

Additionally: MA/NREMT-P, copy editor, late night driver. Historically: rock climber, tech writer, ultimate Frisbee player, pinball aficionado. Arguably: above-average home cook, intrepid road-trip buddy, herder of cats (poets). If that's insufficient information, you may read my bio.

  • I perform poetry and produce and host poetry-related events.
I competed at the National Poetry Slams in Seattle, St. Louis, Albuquerque, Austin, Madison, St. Paul, and Decatur; I coached my 2008 National Poetry Slam team to a fourth-place Finals finish, Boston's highest rank since 1995; I was the sole emcee for the finals of the 2007 Individual World Poetry Slam in Vancouver; and I directed the outrageously successful 2011 and 2013 National Poetry Slams in Boston, Cambridge, and Somerville. Since 2005, I have operated as SlamMaster, host, bookings agent, and more for the weekly Boston Poetry Slam.

  • You may book me to perform, host, produce, direct, or bout manage.
I've been featured from Bellingham, Washington to Auckland, New Zealand, and I've hosted and produced poetry shows all over New England, including the Boston Poetry Slam World Qualifier at the Middle East Rock Club in Cambridge and a decade of First Night Celebration Poetry Slams in Boston. You can see me every Wednesday at the Boston Poetry Slam.

Interested parties are invited to email me with booking inquiries.
